FINDING YOUR TRIBE: It’s Good to Belong!

Where Petals Unfold, Hearts Flourish

Hi Lilies! Who you surround yourself with matters – let’s talk about finding your people, but before we do so, let me state here that it is important that you have a deep sense of who you are and what you are about, if you are not sure about these things, then you won’t be able to identify your tribe because you won’t know who/what you’re looking for in a tribe.

What is your tribe? Your tribe is a group of people with whom you have found a deep sense of safety and resonance, in this group, you feel a natural chemistry and energy. The connection is meaningful and real. There is a difference with how you feel and interact with your tribe, than you do with casual acquaintances. In a tribe, there’s a feeling of ease and belonging, being with your tribe feels much like being at home. In your tribe, there’s no need for pretense or desperate attempts to fit in. You are comfortable being your genuine, vulnerable self, without fear of judgement. They uplift, inspire and understand you, they celebrate your wins and are your biggest cheerleaders.

They offer constructive criticisms because they care. They remind you of your value and are not afraid to challenge you to grow, doing so, with respect and love. You can trust their opinions because you know it’s coming from a sincere place.

It often takes time to identify your tribe, this is done through spending quality time together and participating in activities together. It is important to know that your tribe will not necessarily last forever, people grow and evolve and the composition of your tribe may change to reflect your new needs (and theirs) and perspective. No matter what stage of life you are at, your tribe will show up.
