HABITS THAT NOURISHES: Cultivate Habits That Care For You

Hey friends!  Tired of feeling tired and unaccomplished at the end of the day?  Are you rushing from day to day without a routine or a plan?  What if we examine the HOW or the WHY of what we’re doing? Maybe changing, adding or tweaking one thing that we are doing will bring us different results.

Consistent, deliberate changes can make a big impact and can significantly improve or devalue the quality of our lives. I want to challenge us to introduce one small habit into our daily routine, one that is multi-purposed, it nourishes us and adds value to our daily lives.   Something as simple as drinking water, can change the flow of our day.

The most successful morning routines often begin the night before.  A consistent sleep pattern helps regulate your circadian rhythm and improve overall sleep quality.   A well planned day is bound to boost productivity and focus.

Taking 5-10 minutes to plan your day will:

  • Improve time management
  • Help distinguish between important and urgent
  • Lower anxiety
  • Reduce stress from decision making

Identify your top three priorities for the day, schedule your most demanding tasks during your peak energy periods, and add in short breaks.

GROWING TIPS: 3 Simple habits to boost wellness:

  1. Start your morning with an attitude of gratitude. Think about 5 persons or things you are grateful for. Persons/things that would significantly affect your day if they were not present in your life.
  2. Stay hydrated, hydrate like you mean it, to improve the taste of water, try infusing it with your favorite fruits or herbs.
  3. Journal before bed – it’s a safe place to dump your thoughts and clear your mind, a place to share your silly dreams. This might help you sleep better.
