MORNING ROUTINE: Starting Your Day With Purpose

Hey Lilies! Mornings set the tone for the entire day – let’s talk about creating a routine that nourishes your soul. Each new morning we are once again given the opportunity to reset and have another go at life! A successful day doesn’t just happen, it is the result of deliberate, intentional planning that takes place at its very beginning, or even the night before. An organized routine allows for a better chance of an efficient use of precious time, a day without a plan or a routine can easily get crazy and lose its natural rhythm. After waking up from a restful night’s sleep, the first thing I do is to express my gratitude and appreciation to God for me being a part of another new day! I do not take life for granted.
I spend the next 10 – 15 minutes in prayer, giving thanks for all the many blessings that are mine the minute my eyes are open! I seek to know my purpose and ask for guidance for the day. This sets the pace for calm and focus. After getting out of bed, my daily routine continues with 5 minutes of stretching and breathing – my body needs this to perform at its optimum and I definitely feel the difference when I neglect this step. After my personal care routine, a healthy hearty breakfast is next, during which time I check with my daily planner to see what I have scheduled for the day. I am now ready to meet the world and anything life throws at me. Most definitely, a happy ending requires a great start!
TIPS TO KICKSTART PRODUCTIVITY FOR THE DAY
1. Get out of bed as soon as the alarm goes off. Do not snooze.
2. Make your bed immediately
3. Review your #1 priority for the day.
4. Do a small task while your coffee brews
5. Have a protein rich breakfast (eggs, Greek yogurt, or oatmeal.

TIPS ON CREATING A PERSONALIZED MORNING ROUTINE:
Start small (10-15 Minutes)
Prioritize self-care (e.g., journaling, stretching, or reading)
Experiment with habits (e.g., gratitude log, workout, or planning)
MORNING ROUTINE IDEAS:
1. Mindful Moment: 5-minute meditation or breath work;
2. Movement: Yoga, walk, or dance party
3. Journal Time: Write goals, gratitude, or reflections;
4. Plan & Prioritize: Quick review of your day.
MAKE IT STICK:
1. Set a consistent wake-up time
2. Prep the night before (e.g., lay out clothes, prep breakfast)
3. Don’t be too hard on yourself – adjust as needed.
